Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is incredibly helpful in creating a shareable, organized space highly conducive for PRM (problem resolution management) meeting. Colleagues can upload multiple different file formats, edit existing work, and view them all in the same board, at the same time as other colleagues. I have also found Miro particularly useful with creating high-level flow diagrams for new work instructions or SOPs.
  • Easily shareable across large teams. Can restrict access to particular individuals if necessary.
  • Compatible with many file formats. Can upload pdfs, Excel Spreadsheets, and ppts that are able to viewed within the Miro board, without needing to be downloaded, although users are able to download if desired.
  • User friendly interface allows anybody to update and edit work on shared Miro boards.
  • There are a myriad of templates available for use when trying to brainstorm key visualizations.
  • Cannot edit uploaded images or files. Auto-lock can be tricky to use or can inhibit work when trying to outline particular spots of an image within a board (specifically with arrows/lines).
  • Shapes aren't capable of being custom cropped or edited to meet specific needs at times. Users must review available shapes and choose exact items that meet their needs.
  • Because of the user friendly, quick-processing interface, creating process flows for SOPs or work instructions is cut in half.
  • Colleagues are more likely to provide better input while performing PRM reviews with non-restrictive nature of Miro boards.
All Microsoft office apps are capable of being uploaded into Miro and actively viewed without needing to download the file. Mind maps, google images, AWS, video clipper, and many more apps are capable of being actively used within a given Miro board. Most visualization tools can be easily integrated with Miro.
My team will often times replace SharePoint with Miro wherever possible. Most project planning meetings or problem investigations are hosted in Miro where possible as the preferred choice. With the convenient app integrations and the friendly user interface, Miro is the default option with remote work where possible.
Generally speaking, Miro is the best choice for large group efforts when compared with the selected products. Miro Whiteboards allow for smooth and easy collaboration across multiple groups since many different file types can be uploaded and added to a space so other colleagues may review, as opposed to clunky embedded files.

Miro is especially handy when creating custom visualizations for high level process flows that can be easily shared and edited by multiple colleagues at the same time. Users can comment or edit existing work as needed, and owners of a board can adjust user access as necessary. With Miro's dynamic zoom, lots of information can be stored in small spaces, which helps with de-cluttering and organizing flows or information.
