Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I am an interior designer in an architectural firm working across various offices. Miro allows our team to brainstorm, collaborate, and coordinate designs quickly across office locations. I particularly enjoy the sketch feature which allows me to sketch ideas for my team to implement. Using Miro as a tool to collaborate and provide direction to other designers has increased our efficiency and ability to work from remote locations.
Pros
- Infinite whiteboard space
- Ability to draw/sketch directly in Miro
- Ability to mention a team member to draw their attention an area
- Ability to see changes since the last visit
- Being able to work concurrently with a team member and see where they are on the board
Cons
- I love the sketch feature but could use some more advanced sketching tools
- I like the arrows/lines that can be added to shapes, notes, etc. but sometimes the 'snapping' function doesn't allow for the arrow to point to specific places
- As more AI tools develop, I'd love to see tools that automatically sort/size portions of the board.
- Ease of collaboration across office locations
- Record of comments made and a visual history of our project work
- With the free version we are limited to the amount of boards and end up placing a lot of information on one board. This can be hard to load on mobile devices and tablets.
- The ability to use the board from any computer, tablet, or phone allows us to take our work anywhere.
This tool has been crucial in my ability to collaborate with designers in different locations. We don't always have the ability to work through designs in person, and with Miro, we don't need to spend the extra time and money to be in person. This is a major cost savings and has made for a more efficient work flow.
