Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Each one of the business units here use a board to enable them to collaboratively draw, visualize and iterate over ideas and strategies.
The main business problems we aim to solve are the lack of an alternative tool that provides this level of freedom on the free plan, as we are still a newborn and little startup and don't have budget to get the pro plans.

Pros

  • Free plan is very complete, without significand paid barriers
  • It's the perfect tool for personal product managers use or freelancers.
  • Accessibility of templates and use cases, all ready to use with examples

Cons

  • The member/invitation management is little unclear, many times I just lost access to some board only to be redirected to another
  • The table component has some space for improvements, it is a little hard to keep it dynamic or scalable for adding new information on it
  • The price between free and the starter plan is a little steep for small companies or companies that relies on another undervalued coin (like Brazil BR) to commit for
  • Miro helped our team to stay aligned and focused on the strategic objectives of the company
I only integrated Miro with ClickUp to increase the company reach and try to align collaborators that wasn't using the project management tool, like Marketing and Sales.
Even if I greatly reduced my workload from keep tasks in sync, I found the integration a little shall and I think it have room for improvements.
The integration process per se was really fast and flawless.
The power to give forms and designs to our words helped to bring together more than half of our company to look and discuss strategy and objectives, but this time looking into the product technical and business flow, and this helped us to elaborate our OKRs
FigJam is too limited comparing to Miro
ClickUp whiteboards is good because its native on its own tool, but is a little clumky to use - Miro is a lot more fluid in terms of usability

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

The Miro product is very well suited for personal use, as an Product Manager that wants to draw product discoveries, models and business strategy, and in general need to provide this vision to the company or group.
It is less appropriate for project management or agile development role, as it lacks some fundamentals like proper roadmapping and tasks broken into epics, stories, bugs, etc.
