Miro review
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We were using Miro to create a design entrepreneurship project regarding climate change for grade 11 and 12 students. They were each given a Miro board in groups of 8 people. They were asked to create a financial plan, a storyboard, a script, and roles within the team (ceo, pitcher, financial planner, etc.)
Pros
- Shows where everyone is on the board
- Allows everyone to stay on task through timer and notifications
- Easy to use the different features (change pen, put on music, etc.)
Cons
- I think the timer disappears sometimes
- It takes a long time to load
- It lags once it loads
- Reduced project completion time
- Improved collaboration/productivity
- Excluded some members as they were not equipped with same technological ability to load Miro
Amazing. We had someone who was in Bangladesh and couldn't access most things including Zoom but Miro worked. Somehow Miro was able to bypass the outage. Moreover, it's easy to create a board and share it. Collaboration is fairly easy since we can clearly see one another's thoughts. I think there is a chat feature but that was hard to utilize. Moreover, exporting the content was a challenge to see the finer details.
Miro is better than Google Slides because you can see everything on one board. Similar with Jamboard as we need to hop over and Jamboard is going extinct as well. I also like that Miro is more customizable. For example, there are sample music tracks that can easily be accessed, and you can also import new songs.
