Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We leverage Miro to enable cross-departmental collaboration, either in an educational sense or in a design thinking workshop. We may also use Miro ad hoc to supplement open creative thinking during a meeting.

Pros

  • The Miroverse is a great tool to see how others think about structured workshops.
  • Miro's built-in "how to" templates are great for acclimating first-time users before a workshop.
  • Miro's ability to maintain a large participant count without depreciation in experience is fantastic.

Cons

  • As Miro has grown, it feels as if it's features sometimes lose their birth star.
  • Miro may consider a simpler version and an advanced tools sidebar to swap between.
  • Miro was the substrate that allowed me to teach a new product approach by way of Continuous Discovery Habits (Teresa Torres) over several weeks of homemade interactive learning workshops in Miro.
Muro's online whiteboard regularly helps connect our teams in Austin, Dallas, and Warsaw.
We use both FigJam/Figma and Miro. Miro is more complex but has a fantastic resource of community-built templates for workshop facilitation. FigJam is often more straightforward, which can be helpful when running design workshops with external participants with minimal introduction.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is my go-to tool when collaborating with non-product/design stakeholders because they can attend a workshop without having access to other design-specific tools.
