Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to visually organise the information I receive from stakeholders and share with my team. It's so easy to make changes dynamically, and it allows me to iterate quickly before finalising product requirements. I particularly enjoy working on flowcharts that can be edited collaboratively, leaving notes and comments within the team, and creating timelines and roadmaps for my products as well. As the visual information is very easy to ingest, it's a great tool for workshops and other meetings where the content may and should change throughout. Happy to have Miro as a tool in our organisation!

Pros

  • Flexible flowchart tools for decision-making, software logic, and project dependencies
  • Easily adjustable timeline planning
  • Live collaboration through sticky notes

Cons

  • I wish shapes and other elements could automatically scale with text inside them more easily
  • When I have connectivity issues, it can be hard to tell when I'm disconnected, and changes I make get discarded once I'm reconnected
  • Better alignment and layout tools would help organise info when working on bigger boards
  • Productivity for the Product team is boosted by using Miro on top of JIRA and other teams, as it allows us to quickly summarise business needs, draft requirements, and refine them with engineering
  • Engineering work is more efficient as we have clear, refined requirements earlier, resulting in less rework later on
  • Our turnaround time from new business need to "ready for engineering" has decreased, meaning we are able to complete projects and deliver value to our users faster
Remote collaboration is crucial for our business. We have employees in offices across countries, continents, and time zones that work within the same teams. This necessitates fluid online collaboration, and Miro definitely supports that need. Further, it helps maintain productivity with different work-from-home arrangements, which in turn increases employee satisfaction and work-life balance.
