Overall Satisfaction with Miro
As enterprise architect I use Miro to design diagrams to make my stakeholders align on what should be built. It is often BPMN diagrams to describe business process or IS interactions, sometimes UML diagrams via Miro extensions (plantUML). It's very valuable especially because I work remotely with people and the collaboration is smooth with this tool.
Pros
- make people collaborate remotely
- the diagramming is simple to do
- capability to write pieces of json (code block)
- illustrate the complexity of a project / program
Cons
- The latency on my BIG Miro board
- capability to use Miro to capitalize knowledge in the company
- improve the layer experience
- make the export (jpeg png or the usage in draw.io) of a part of a Miro board (a frame) easyest.
- reduced the design time by 25%
- improve my quality of deliverable
- It is sometimes hard to find the right content in the first Miro board I created so often I need to help people to find content
I think without Miro it's almost impossible to collaborate remotely. I think Miro is changing the business as usual. I remember before COVID I was always working on big whiteboard drawing diagram again and again. Now with Miro I'm improving my diagram each time saving the time to re-draw again and again the same diagram. Thus my diagram is more qualitative with more details and the understanding of my stakeholders is better.
