Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is incredibly intuitive and, more than just being the best app, it’s truly the best way to put my ideas on paper and share them in a way that everyone can understand—my future self included. Its interface makes it easy to organize thoughts, and the collaborative features are outstanding, allowing me to work seamlessly with others. It’s become an essential tool for turning my ideas into clear, visual plans!

Pros

  • Miro is perfect for creating mind maps, flowcharts, and other visual diagrams. The drag-and-drop functionality, customizable shapes, sticky notes, and connectors, allows me to map out complex ideas quickly. This is great for brainstorming sessions, where thoughts need to flow freely without rigid structures.
  • I love how easy it is to bring in templates—whether for agile workflows, customer journey maps, or retrospectives—making it super easy to kickstart any project.
  • Sharing boards with others is straightforward, too—just send a link or export as a PDF.

Cons

  • Miro can get a bit slow when working on really large or complex boards, especially if a bunch of people are on it at the same time. The lag can be frustrating and makes it tough to move around or make changes smoothly. It’d be great if they could improve performance for those bigger boards.
  • It’s a pain that Miro is so dependent on being online. If the internet cuts out or I’m working somewhere with a spotty connection, I can’t really do much on my boards.
  • Miro’s permission settings are decent, but they could be better, especially for managing larger teams. I’d like more control over who can edit which parts of a board or set different access levels for different people. It’d make organizing work a lot easier.
  • Reduced project completion time
  • Allowed for better inter-department communication, increasing productivity
  • Increased engagement, as the tool makes the work easier
It is effortless to implement. There was basically nothing to do to get the product up and running.
Miro has been a game-changer for our fully remote team. It’s allowed us to collaborate seamlessly, even though we work from different locations and time zones. We can brainstorm, plan, and refine ideas, making it feel like we’re in the same room at the same time working together.

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is perfect for remote brainstorming. During a team workshop for a product launch, its infinite canvas lets us easily share ideas with sticky notes, diagrams, and flowcharts. Everyone could contribute in real time, making the session dynamic. The voting feature helped us quickly focus on the best ideas without switching tools, streamlining the whole process. However, Miro struggles with poor internet or offline work. I once needed to update a strategy map while traveling, but I couldn’t access or edit the board with a weak connection. A tool with offline capabilities would be much more practical in such cases.
