Great for Design Processes
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro mainly as a brainstorming tool. For branding projects, we use it to collect inspiration, note trends, brainstorm ideas. We also use it to follow design processes. For instance, when designing a logo, we post sketches, make comments, then post rough roughs, comments again, all the way to final concepts. So we use it as an iterative tool.
Pros
- Collaboration
- Archiving
- Flexibility
Cons
- Polls
- Commenting/edits
- AI integration
- Improve collaboration and cross-functioning
- Not the best as providing next steps or decision-making
- Improve culture and connection
In my previous organization, my team was remote. Miro was great for both synchronous and asynchronous ways of working. I set up and facilitated brainstorming sessions and inspiration collection. The timer function was great and made for efficient use of time. I also used it to review work, where a designer would post and I would leave comments later on when I had time.
- Google Jamboard and Mural
It's the most intuitive and user-friendly.
