Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We are using Miro in collaboration with an email marketing agency to organize and assist with project management. Miro helps address visual communication and collaboration across teams, helping to translate complex ideas into visual workflows. Regarding scope, Miro is primarily used for cross-team collaboration, creative brainstorming, and strategic planning. It facilitates in project management with templates that enable efficient sprint planning and progress tracking.

Pros

  • Miro provides a huge canvas that acts like an actual whiteboard. Everyone sees updates instantly, making brainstorming seamless for all collaborators.
  • It allows us to easily track progress on our spring planning.
  • It makes it easy to map out workflows, processes, and organizational charts, and allows everyone to easily visualize what would otherwise be complex tasks.

Cons

  • It's a bit slower to load compared to other tools, particularly when zooming in and out of a board.
  • Some of the functionality is not always intuitive, though this may be user error as I'm mostly familiar with Figma.
  • It would be awesome if Miro integrated directly with Klaviyo to make exporting assets/creating templates much more efficient.
  • It has made our project management process more efficient. Leaving comments all in one place and being able to tag specific users has made it so that no one misses an important notification.
  • It's also great to use a tool that provides a large enough space so we can keep the entire project on one board, reducing confusion or multiple files to sift through. Everything we need is easily accessible on one board.
It's entirely streamlined this process for us. The project we're working on is a massive overhaul of our email flows, of which there are about 2000 email templates. There would be no way to keep ourselves on track and reduce noise/confusion if we were using other tools, as Miro's broad canvas is a necessity to the efficiency of our project.
Figma might be easier for small scale projects, just because it responds quicker and has similar functionality. But it would be a nightmare to use Figma for our current project, just considering how large of a workspace is required.

Miro is way easier and much more intuitive to me than Lucid was. We used Lucid for brainstorming wireframes, but there is a learning curve to the functionality of that tool that I've never mastered.

In contrast, Miro is much more user friendly, and I don't find myself Googling how to accomplish something in Miro like I do in in Figma and Lucid.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

When there are much more complex projects that need a larger board to work off of, Miro is an excellent choice compared to some of the other tools we use. It's great in scenarios where multiple users across various teams need to collaborate on a project, as it helps condense large amounts of information into one common space, and makes it much less likely for notifications to be missed.
