Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for planning, idea generation, brainstorming, retrospectives and various other collaboration sessions. Miro helps us jump straight into work with little setup, meaning we can focus on the tasks at hand and not disrupt our thought processes.

Pros

  • Collaboration with multiple people, internal and external
  • Lots of presets and templates
  • Nice and clean UI
  • Decent performance

Cons

  • It has limitations when it comes to fine control of objects. E.g. resizing shapes, snapping, aligning things
  • More integrations with other tools are always welcome
  • As we use it a lot for flowcharts, more advanced features would be neat (like Draw.io but collaborative)
  • Time saved copying physical whiteboard content for archiving
Yes - we collaborated an quite a few occasions internally and with clients using Miro. Especially, when we run workshops.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is perfect as a collaboration canvas for brainstorming sessions, planning, concept design and other architecting activities. Some of the engagement features (voting, reactions, timers) are very much in like with Agile methodologies are perfect for retrospectives, prioritisation sessions and similar activities.

Miro shines when you need to create a rough idea or sketch. However, it is a bit limited when it comes to the final stages and fine-tuning of your content for presentation.
