Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I basically use it as a substitute for PowerPoint. It's much more efficient for presenting new product features, improvements, or conversion calculations during work meetings because it's more visual.

I also regularly use it in collaboration with the marketing team to brainstorm and discuss user flows and distribution together outside of meetings.

Pros

  • Collaboration on architecture with developers during Zoom calls (using boards)
  • Offline discussions of user flows
  • A visual board for economic calculations related to flow improvements

Cons

  • Uploading MP4 files to attach product state user flows from QA
  • Sometimes, text boxes lack functionality when I present a code sketch
  • It has reduced "miscommunication rate" in our team
  • It has also helped me to allow marketing and dev teams speak on the same language
Online: Collaboration on Zoom calls using an extension. It's great for discussing integrations and complex user flows. (Our office has a lot of whiteboards, but they're not particularly useful for remote team members.)

Offline: It allows me to gather user flows in multiple abstractions simultaneously (to intertwine technical and marketing details) in order to see the complete picture.
Figma is also great for drawing user flows, but it’s too specialized to be used collaboratively with all team members. It’s excellent for detailing but not ideal for capturing the overall picture.

I don’t think there are any viable alternatives.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It's quite effective for developers to organize technical implementation. I believe it is underused in this field. One of my developers regularly uses it for the technical elaboration of their tasks, and it proves to be quite useful for team discussions and maintaining transparency.

I also believe it’s excellent for organizing launches and defining the scope for multi-stage feature releases in small teams.
