Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We're an innovation and transformation consultancy so use Miro across the all of our client engagements and internal projects. Our work ranges from capturing discovery output, be that interviews or focus groups, to navigating the entire product design journey. A lot of our work is now remote-first so we're spending more time building engaging interactive boards which help clients feel more involved in the work.

Pros

  • general ease of use for basic tasks. it's very easy to get even the least digitally savvy clients logged in and creating post its.
  • the new AI tools are really useful for quickly theming and summarising large volumes of post its/information
  • it's a detail, but there's something about the way arrows and connectors are styled which makes it really easy to produce complex but clean looking diagrams.
  • ability to copy a selection as an image for easy exporting

Cons

  • it still feels a little cumbersome when adding video to a board
  • would be great if when adding a PDF you could scroll through the pages without having to expand the entire thing
  • would also be useful to be able to get a quick tour of what's changed when you visit a board. I feel like this might be a feature that I've just not found yet...
  • difficult to say as we've been using it for so long that I'm not sure we could compare it to another time
this is the most widely distributed business I've worked in and it's been great to see how Miro can bring people together not just on client projects, but also internal activities. It's meant everyone has been unskilled in how to use the platform and there's never a concern over someone's ability to participate, no matter where they're located.
simply put, it's just more intuitive. clients find it much easier to onboard to and, whilst we don't leverage them in my current business, I know there are a variety of integrations which are helpful as your work scales.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

We honestly wouldn't be able to do our work without it. Particularly the way we're now finding ourselves working the majority of the time. The main struggle comes when delivering hybrid workshops, but I'm not sure this is something the platform can solve independently. There's definitely some work for us to do on ensuring participants feel they're getting the same experience whether they're in the room with us or not.
