Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for mapping User experiences, creating Opportunity Solution Trees, documenting user interviews, documenting software services (with customer journeys) and for retros. I'm sure there are more use cases but these are the most frequent ones.

We were mainly focused on the installation experience of our Smart Heating devices, our company sells smart home hardware for heating systems. Not sure I understand the last question : /

Pros

  • Making super easy to find shapes that allows you to capture your ideas
  • Sync Collaboration in a board. Providing also useful tools like timers, voting sessions.
  • The templates are also super helpful. Both creating yours, so you can keep reusing them or finding inspiration.
  • I loved the 2024 wrapped metrics, shared them immediately with my team!

Cons

  • when a board gets loaded with many pieces of content, it starts taking ages to load, maybe is better to advise users to split boards?
  • Sometimes components such as mind maps or cards, when both users want to work together, the component is locked and you can't really do anything until the other finished changing it.
  • It'd be awesome that both can update this but I know it comes with complexity. I've also seen mind maps being locked when the other person told me they didn't have that component selected.
  • The activity history lacks data, it doesn't show me the old and new changes, this info is useful, especially when we somehow lost important information
  • Miro helped us have clear alignment sessions which converted into testing ideas with customers in a matter of 2-4 days (from opportunity to testing hypothesis with customers).
  • Also helped us centralizing our documentation. Team members and stakeholders could find information on their own.
  • It helped onboarding other engineers into topics in sessions of just 45 minutes. e.g services that had myriad of customer journeys and years in the company
It's been key. My team was formed by 8 people working from their homes , on daily basis we would collaborate and use Miro to create/capture/document our Product Discovery.

I didn't miss the fact that we weren't in the same whiteboard physically, which says a lot.
I didn't select Miro when I joined tado already had it as a tool. Though not all the teams used it as extensively as we did use it.

For me Miro has way more options to help you illustrate ideas or document them. And as said before it doesn't require me to learn its ways, it helps me find them, every time.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I love how Miro helps me onboard, brainstorm, illustrate, demonstrate ideas.

I have done a myriad of things in Product discovery and engineering with Miro by now, and every time I wanted to illustrate my idea, I didn't have to recall any sort of UI or process, it was super easy to find shapes or templates. This is what i love the most, i have already many things I need to recall about, I want Miro to help me, not to force me to learn its ways. Great work team!
