Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We are an architecture studio. We use Miro as a virtual pin-up board at the start of projects. Miro allows us to see all the information we have and we can share the links with collaborators to make it easy to see what we are working from. The boards often include existing building information, surveys, and other relevant documents. As a project develops, we use Miro to review iterations and collaborate internally - our staff usually works remotely. Miro is the tool that allows us to, in real-time, review and comment. Sometimes, we share links with our clients to comment on the work. The best feature is the portability of the links which makes it seamless to access all the information and presentations from the phone, tablet, or workstations. Clients love that they have access to renderings and images via the link. We use all the tools, including the sketching tools. We especially like the ease of diagraming on Miro.
Pros
- Diagraming - tools are great to create quick diagrams and schedules.
- Portable and shareable links
- commenting and mentioning team members
- We like the presentation tools and the ability to draw while presenting.
Cons
- It is hard to determine the appropriate size for content.
- organizing boards requires work or custom templates. the current templates are geared for web or product developers, not our type of work.
- Sharing links sometimes triggers people to request access to our team - we like having a "guest" only link. We share with a lot of different people that don't need full access. Some actually have learned about Miro through us and decide to create their own accounts.
- Organizing the presentation slides or frames can be laborious if not planned in advance. The tab with slides helps but is not as effective when using the phone or tablet.
- Remote work.
- Access to presentations and real-time uploads - I can be presenting and someone can upload as I start.
- Client transparency, collaboration, feedback, and access to updates.
We have multiple boards for every project. it is the way we collaborate and share information daily.
Video tools, presentation, and timers.
