Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro allows a large group of team members to collaborate online on creative, strategic and planning tasks. So, we used Miro for product planning sprints. The tasks we used Miro for on the sprint: presentations; brainstorming activities; designing product/customer value propositions; planning out high-level schedules etc.
Pros
- Allow teams to brainstorm together using post-its and other features
- Have notes for different parts of the project on the same page
- High-level schedule planning using what looks like a GANT view
Cons
- Moving up and down Miro could be better
- It's too easy for team members to move parts of the board accidentally
- It takes a little longer than I like to load and reconnect every time you are inactive
- When the board gets too big, it's hard to locate different parts of the board
- improved convenience - not having to all be in-person; having all notes and data for planning in one place
This was the most useful benefit from Miro for us - the online whiteboard allowed all of us to collaborate remotely on creative and planning tasks. The post-its, the arrows, the different shapes, and the timer - all of it facilitated smooth use. It was almost like being in person.
