Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a service designer, I use Miro for a few different things. I use it to conduct interactive workshops when conducting user research. I also use it to map out low-fidelity flows for new apps I'm working on.

Pros

  • Easy to learn how to use
  • Lots of great functionality
  • Great as a collaborative tool

Cons

  • Some of my workshop attendees have struggled to learn basic functionality making it hard for them to participate in workshops.
  • I still haven't gotten the hang of locking certain components.
  • Everything else is good!
  • Reduced completion time
  • Improved productivity
  • Improved collaboration
I've used Miro's online white board a number of times to unite remote workshop participants when conducting user research. It's a great tool for helping everyone visualize what we're discussing and it allows participants to join in and add their own perspectives and thoughts on how to solve problems or the processes they currently follow.
I've only used FigJam once. They seem quite similar.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is great for collaborative workshops - if the participants are relatively tech savvy. As mentioned previously, I've had a few instances where less tech savvy participants struggled to zoom in and out, move the screen from side to side and move post-it notes.

I enjoy using Miro for mapping out low-fidelity flows for new apps I'm developing. It's quick and easy.
