Overall Satisfaction with Miro
When my team moved to a work from home model in 2020, we were concerned about maintaining our team culture. We had weekly meetings where we would share and review design work. This was a visual process where the work would be printed and posted on the wall. We are much more sustainable now with our virtual wall boards in Miro. Our team posts screenshots of work in progress, finished work, videos and even links to inspiration. All of these are made simple with a very intuitive upload process or a simple copy and paste. The boards themselves are easy to create and organize. We recently undertook a project to catalog all of the great work the team has done since 2020 and build a library of sorts using Miro Spaces. Miro keeps releasing new tools that simplify and make the experience more robust. Our team would have to work harder to maintain the brand consistency this tool has empowered and our collaboration would suffer without our weekly Miro sessions.
Pros
- Easily customizable boards with brand fonts/colors and content
- Deep library of templates for a variety of team exercises
- Intuitive interface and ease of use when uploading documents
Cons
- Would love the ability to tag assets on the board and search all boards in a Miro Space based on tags
- Performance issues with slow loading boards occasionally
- Improved productivity
- Improved collaboration
We are able to put all of the documentation for new projects on a board along with the design drafts and quickly get to stakeholder review. This gives us a space to collaborate as a team without our stakeholder seeing the process in our project management tool.
