Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for just about everything. I am a Creative Director on an in-house marketing team and on my immediate team, we use it for brainstorming creative concepts for product launches, marketing campaigns, corporate communications as well as a way to post our work each week to share out with one another. More broadly, the marketing and product teams work in Miro to share out Voice of Customer, brainstorm product, and for design thinking.
Pros
- Stickies! Adding stickies to the board, changing the color, moving around, changing sizes.
- Boards! Adding and resizing boards, moving full boards around including the content on them, linking to a specific board.
- Templates! I love the variety of templates in Miro. They're easy to use and easy to apply to existing boards as well.
Cons
- When putting a link on an image, it would be nice to see the icon (in the upper right) a little bigger/more obvious that there's a link there. It would be cool to create a link to a video with a video/play overlay.
- More options for sticky colors.
- The arrow tool is a little annoying, sometimes I just want an arrow to be a shape, pointing to something specific and I don't want it to snap to a specific spot. It would be nice to have more of a freeform arrow.
- Improved consistency in branding. We launched an updated graphic identity last year and we were able to maintain consistency and get ideas from each other.
- Ability to collaborate with distributed teams. My creative team is located all around the US and Miro makes our jobs a million times easier.
- Easier to get sign off and buy in from key stakeholders.
As I mentioned before, since we're distributed across the country, Miro is crucial to my teams' success. When COVID hit and even the folks in my office were working from home, once we found Miro it was a game changer. Now that we're back in the office, even if only office folks are meeting, we sometimes just hop on a call instead of grabbing a conference room since we'll be using Miro anyway.
