Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro was brought in to do persistent shared whiteboarding. This was the only feature they had at the time and the only feature we wanted. All the features added since didn't really get used. We have to try to turn off features or get people to not use other features or we lost track of the data as it competed with our system of record

Pros

  • Shared Whiteboarding across multiple locations
  • whiteboarding persistence and history

Cons

  • turning off features that are not required or wanted
  • prevent users using the features that compete with systems of record
  • focus on the core products rather than shiny new features
  • it was great during the pandemic
  • it lost all value when it tried to be an everything platform and not focus
  • difficult to extract all data from to migrate away
The online whiteboard was great but failed to continue innovating on its core purpose and kept trying land grabs to very different software areas.
We picked Miro originally as it was the only viable solution 5 years ago, it is not now.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

No

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

No

if you want all the features offered it is great. it is no longer the best persistent shared whiteboard solution and so I don't understand it's purpose If you don't want to go all in on Miro it causes problems with the data being split across multiple systems, and done differently by different teams
