Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a basic user, Miro has become an invaluable tool in my digital work. Miro is an intuitive online whiteboarding platform that facilitates real-time collaboration, idea mapping and project planning. We are using it mainly for team retrospective meetings.

Pros

  • real-time collaboration
  • idea mapping
  • project planning
  • retrospective meetings

Cons

  • editing - viewing: the switch is very easy and can distract a lot
  • the login is sometimes problematic
  • the sticky notes are sometimes too big, and when writing in it can make the characters invisible...
  • I am only a user, cannot quote such numbers :)
One of Miro's greatest strengths is its versatility. The platform offers a wide range of pre-built templates, from mind maps and Kanban boards to stakeholder mapsand sprint retrospectives. The infinite canvas and drag-and-drop functionality make it easy to structure ideas without constraints.

Miro's collaborative features are really nice. Real-time editing, sticky notes, polling and presentation mode make workshops and meetings engaging, even with globally dispersed teams. The learning curve is minimal, which is a bonus when we have new colleague.
We only use it for retros... and one example of a workflow...
draw.io is okay for making editable drawings but has not many tools and so it is much less usable than Miro.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

For a retrospective meeting it excels when the presented prepares the board carefully. It is wonderful, what a scrum master can provide us with Miro.

A workflow is also a very handy usage of Miro. I have one from a colleague who left the company, and it is very very good.

Using Miro

  • Retro meeting
  • Sync meeting
  • Design documentation of a product
  • We expected some templates, which did not exist that time
  • Innovative that the canvas is limitless and also local
  • Continuing to use it for our retro
  • And probably use for documentation
