Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for just about everything. From ideation workshops, to prioritisation, roadmapping and tracking of progress on initiatives, Miro is the centralised tool for all our collaborative work. The primary use case for the wider business is to manage cross-team initiatives in a way that's accessible for all staff whether remote or in office. Almost every meeting will have a Miro board link attached.
Pros
- Flexibility in mapping thoughts however you work best
- Great templates to get started or to use as inspo
- Easy interface which makes sharing boards with people unfamiliar with Miro extremely easy
Cons
- Styling. While not important, I'd love to have more control over the exact appearance of my board
- Transferability of items from board to board. If a colleague has a board at x% zoom and size, and I'm transfering work to it from a different board, all my objects and line weights can go crazy when resizing
- I know it's early days for MiroAI, but I'd love to have more flexiblity to refine the AI outputs rather than reprompting a new output each time
- Team alignment has improved massively
- Efficiency has improved since theres no need to summarise into an email, we just send the Miro board link
Nothing specific really stands out, but something I use very often when trying to balance collaboration and control is: 'bring to me' and 'hide frame' so I can ensure people are following along with what I'm talking about at the time and not jumping ahead, but they still have freedom to explore themselves
Not really. We've been heavy Miro users and I'm not sure how the business operated prior to using Miro
