Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for all sorts of business needs. I sit within Strategy and Transformaion where we use it for strategy mapping, customer analysis and personas, transformational product design and Organisational structal changes relating to setting up businesses. I've personally used it to capture product feedback, team retrospectives and team/project kick offs. I try not to have too many boards as it becomes hard to navigate and also know where information has been captured and shared with certain teams (both internal and externals).
Pros
- Apps and Plugins
- Creative and design
- Easy to use and share with people
Cons
- It would be good for teams to be able to create their own APIs and manage without the need of a company / team admin.
- Miro should look to purchase and provide most used apps/features to embed into the product natively
- The Jira and Miro configuration is confusing and heavy on admins
- Miro has made collaboration really effortless and has everyone on the one product
- I don't believe that Miro has had any impact on cost reduction
Jira integration; Sticky notes and the packs available are fantastic for all users; It does get a bit difficult to manage external users as we dont use public links - there must be a work around for this that we might not be aware of.
Yes, Jira and Miro are fairly difficult to get working and has a fair bit of load on admins. For that reason (and the fact that users cant just do the integration themselves) means that we channel teams to add the Miro board link to their Jira boards as a workaround to the integration options.
Miro is fair superior as these are not their bread and butter like it is for Miro, but if left unchecked Miro could be easily overtaken by the ease and visual appeal to these other collab products
