Miro The single source of truth that you need
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I love using Miro. I use it for more than just work. I have my own board where I store my notes about work and different links and sticky notes. I use it to organize my facts and thoughts clearly on a board in different sections for different projects I work on. In terms of teams, we use it to collaborate, plan and visualize and collaborate across different teams and departments such as UX, Business and the Engineers and QA. Everyone can add a sticky note with a point or ask a question. It is also used for things like Sprint Planning and Retros. One thing I find Miro really useful for is sharing/storing info between devices as I work on both Mac and Windows.
Pros
- Visualizing a plan or information
- Organizing my information
- Single source of truth for everyone and different devices
- Easy to use
- Very performant
Cons
- Sometimes things are hard to find as there are a lot of features
- Sometimes when I click near something it creates a diagram
- Some boards can have a lot of things on them
- Increased Team productivity
- Less errors due to misunderstandings as everything is clear to see
- Easy to store information on and I can easily access if from my Mac and Windows machines
The features that I use the most are Frames, to create blocks for different areas, I also use sticky notes, text and link. I like creating mind maps using Miro and organizing my thoughts and all my information and notes. I also love that it is on the cloud and that I can access everything in one place on all my devices.
Yes as Miro has become my go to platform for storing information in a organized and easy to visualize manner. It has reduced the need for some other tools and it acts as the single source of truth and allows use from different devices. We have stopped using actual whiteboards as a result as well.
Miro is easier to use and the UI is much better. Therefore, it was a clear winner and that is why it remains and the go to choice in the industry. We value it for how it allows us to store information and enhances collaboration amongst team mates and different teams.
