Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a hybrid business, Miro makes collaboration easier for us online - we can brainstorm and feedback on ideas in one flexible, easy-to-use space.

Pros

  • Laying out ideas
  • Feeding back on ideas and making suggestions
  • Mocking up digital content layouts

Cons

  • Duplicating boxes and designs more easily
  • Reducing friction in terms of adding new content/ideas - take a while to select a postit note in the right colour and size
  • Laying out text - can't have different text size in same boxes
  • Improving team collaboration
  • Improving team productivity
  • Improving efficiency of feedback
It's good for certain things, but occasionally there's too much friction to add things quickly. It would be good if there was a quick button to create a new version of whatever element (box, post-it note, etc.) again nearby.
The arrows and post-its are great for quickly annotating things. I've never used the video feature but some people swear by it. The ability to paste in pictures and annotate them is also really handy. And ovbiously the ability to share with other people and see what they're adding too.
Not really, no. I just use it for the things it suits best, but it hasn't really replaced anything other than using Word less.

If you're brainstorming with a few people and you aren't all in one place, this is where Miro is really handy. It's also a good way to record a history of messaging/comms, for example pasting a series of emails in to map a customer journey. It's less appropriate for more formal settings for signoff from higher-ups.
