Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro primarily to get an understanding between the team members and capture any relevant data. It helps visualize the topic and makes it make sense to the people involved. I especially like it when the business user's eyes light up because either we are identifying something they need (but not necessarily what they thought they did) or resolving a potential misunderstanding. I have also noticed that it makes story writing much easier, which means better end results.
Pros
- Data/info visualization
- Collaboration
- Team/group participation
- Asynchronous communication
Cons
- A public area to see all requests/suggestions
- Reduced need for rework
- Improved business user satisfaction
- Keeps team members engaged
Miroverse has been a great source of inspiration, and I appreciate the people who make it a thriving community. It helps me build my team by allowing me the ability to keep making things unique each sprint. Without Miroverse, my job would be significantly more difficult and my team would be significantly likely to be bored and/or become a "zombie scrum team."
I like and encourage use of Miro to build ideas. This helps when writing stories in Jira or requirements in Confluence as the collaboration has helped minimize the need for rewrites (in my experience). This in turn has helped minimize the need for more meetings - in the past, we may have had multiple meetings within certain timeboxes to go over requirements and answer all questions. With Miro, we can get started on ideas and build upon them separately.
