Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro for discovery and research work (market analysis, competitor mapping, and synthesising user interviews/research) and product strategy, and cross-functional workshops. Not everyone has a licence yet due to current limitations. Miro helps me with the challenge of remote collaboration on complex projects effectively. A few top benefits I get out of using Miro: Being able to trace sticky note owners makes follow-ups straightforward. Synced objects across boards save time, whilst layers let me build complex frameworks gradually and tailor walk through to different audiences. The AI summarisation feature is valuable. Instead of manually writing up sessions, I can quickly generate stakeholder updates and refine them as needed. It's my first go-to tool for visual thinking and remote collaboration.
Pros
- Enable remote FAST collaboration
- Sticky notes
- Build flow charts
- Templates
Cons
- Some objects for flow chart doesn't move or change dynamically when things get deleted, added or moved around, e.g. mind mapping
- Still a little clumsy when it comes to knowing which Layers I'm editing, or switching between layers.
- Frames don't work with Layers... it would be great if it could. I use Frames to help me quickly navigate the board; kind of like a digital table of contents.
- It would be good to be able to cluster by tags
- efficiency
- remote collaboration
Board, followed by Sticky Notes, followed by Comment/tag, followed by Share
Yes, I rather much prefer Miro than Atlassian's Whiteboard for that matter. However, we have more user licence for Whiteboard than Miro which means my collaboration with cross functional team is restricted.
Atlassian's Confluence and whiteboard is more accessible to cross functional team. I think we just have more user licence compared to what we were allowed for FigJam then Miro.
