Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We don't have full access to the agile system on our team. We use Miro as a Kanban board to move tasks across swimlanes. The swimlanes we have set up are backlog, in progress, complete, sign off, and desk checks. We're also using Miro for sprint retrospectives, where we work together live; everyone grabs a sticky note, and we fill out our board together.

Pros

  • Team Collaboration in real time.
  • Async team work.
  • Project management.

Cons

  • I actually don't have any pain points about Miro, it works well for what we need it for.
  • Productivity
  • Collaboration
  • Tracking/Project Management
For those who are tech-savvy, it's good; there is a slight learning curve if you don't have a pinch-to-zoom kind of mouse. For those who are not well-versed in technology, we spend a significant amount of time teaching them how to use the software and navigate the board to locate the exact item they are looking for.
I like the timers with music for our sprint retrospectives; I also love the color-coded stickies, which allow us to assign a different color to each team member. We also use our board to move items from the backlog to complete, which helps me, as the PM, track our progress and assign work.
Not really. I still need a tracking program for minute details. However, as I mentioned previously, I haven't had the time to fully flesh out the PM parts of Miro, so that could potentially help me use less of the other tools in the future. Additionally, our business partners also have their own tools, so we need to accommodate them a bit.
I find Miro to be more user-friendly than Figma, where we had a very steep learning curve trying to achieve real-time collaboration with both tech and non-tech users. I haven't personally spent a lot of time using that tool or others, however. At this point, I have a strong preference for Miro.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

As the PM for the UX team, Miro is great because it's a visual tool, and designers love that. We also appreciate that we can accomplish several tasks in one space, rather than having to manage multiple pages or spreadsheets. I want to spend more time using the project management boards and tools, but I haven't had the time to dig in yet.
