Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I've used Miro which was to help our team visually see who is available and physically in the office. This type of knowledge is key to a team as we serve families in a variety of ways, on the phone, virtually, or in person at our location, and in person off-site. Miro helps to distinguish who is out for the day, and if they are working in the field or taking a personal day. This type of information is paramount for our receptionist to be able to effectively transfer calls, and for our team to seamlessly delegate tasks and calls. We also use Miro to show prioritize staff members based on who is the first to be in the rotation for calls/appointments for walk in appointments. This is very important to us as we work on a rotation and each of us have an opportunity to assist clients, but the priority will rotate ensuring we all get a fair amount of business. The Miro board helps us to easily change the rotation from day to day and see when people may be already with a client, or out to lunch, etc.
Pros
- Allows for free form design by the user
- Provides an array of options for our use in designing our page(s)
- Provides real time updates to all users without having to sign in again
- Affords easy to use options to add or remove personnel
- Provides an easy to understand visualization
Cons
- The 'zoom in' and 'zoom out' feature works as if you were working with a giant board. That being said it freely cuts out some of your board if you zoom in on the wrong area. I would like to see a graph over what will be zoomed in on or a selection tool as to not have to zoom in and out a few times before being able to focus in on what I am looking to increase.
- Notification when a change is made to a miro board we have open.
- Ability to set reminders to notify users to update their board.
- I would believe that this is a time saver for us. I cannot speak to any financial ROI of detailed ROI without knowing how much time is spent tracking down employees to assist families. I can state that this would be a time saver, and in any industry time is money.
- The efficiency increases when we can determine quickly where our colleagues are and if they are available.
The ability to locate my coworkers, and thusly assist families as quickly as possible.
I can imagine using this platform in other industries as well. I was previously in the general contracting industry and not only the GC but also their subcontractors could use this software to easily see that they have the appropriate employees at any job site, and which subcontractors are at which site, etc. I think this would be a wonderful addition for the administrative staff, project managers and their assistant(s).
Similarly, a medical office would be able to use this software to see easily and quickly what patients are in what rooms, and which doctors are in office, out to lunch, with a patient, etc.

This decreases the amount in which I have to use my phone to try and locate employees/coworkers. We do use a chat feature on another platform and if that was worked into this, that would be nice as well.
We have not used it for this purpose (as of yet anyway). I think that may be something like a chat feature I was suggesting in my last answer. If so, I have not yet been exposed to that feature. It is possible there are other MIRO features that we are not using to their full capacity.

Integrating Miro
- Microsoft 360 Outlook Calendar
- Salesforce Calendar
- WebEx Calendar
I am unsure if these software providers provide any integration option for Miro. However, I can see how it would help to show availability of staff and/or meeting times and locations, which would show availability of rooms and staff.
Showing how to develop different options within miro so individual staff can set up their own pages, if it would be useful to them.
Upgrading Miro
- Unkown, have not had an upgrade that I am aware of since my relationship with the company was established.
