Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for our weekly planning, setting up what we will do through the week and the statuses of where we're at with our tasks. The biggest thing we use Miro for however, is workshops. Its a great way to get a range of ideas from all across the business as everyone has access to Miro in my organization. We invite multiple teams to contribute in design ideation workshops to get a wide range of voices.

Pros

  • Visual organisation for timelines, ideation, workshops
  • Sticky note functionality
  • Wide range of templates

Cons

  • AI summary isn't always accurate
  • Would love a way to integrate with Figma or other prototyping tools
  • Can be buggy when too many people are editing the same thing
  • Miro gave us the ability to do workshops - the results of which have had an impact on our conversion
  • Team planning efficiency has been better since using Miro
  • We've been able to reduce unnecessary software
I've found that most colleagues I have used Miro with find it easy to use. However, there have been some that have struggled with the pinch and zoom functionality along with being able to move around the board by dragging. Throughout the session though, most were able to get used to it and eventually have fun using the software.
I think Miro's sticky note functionality is elite from the others I've used, I like how the text size changes depending on how many characters are within one sticky note, as opposed to the size of the sticky note itself. I also love the ability to hide your comments from others, this allows people to think for themselves and avoid group think in ideation sessions.
Not in my field but I know we were able to get rid of some diagramming softwares we were using in order to use Miro. It was great because engineering, product, customer service and other teams can all use Miro as the functionality spans across multiple departments. On the product side, we use Miro as opposed to FigJam because others have access to it.
As I've mentioned, I've used FigJam before. FigJam is better for more detailed and design based ideation workshops. But Miro is better for people without much tech ability.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is great for when you need the wider ogranisation playing on one board. I've found that it is easy to learn and pick up, even for users that aren't as technically able. I would recommend something like FigJam for designers who need to add more detail to their boards or are using boards for high-fidelity design ideaiton.
