Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In my business, I am constantly designing and reworking AI automation workflows for a variety of technical and non-technical roles. Miro helps me to easily visualize the process I'm planning to implement, add notes or comments to it, and move it seamlessly into a presentation where it's visual layout makes it easy to understand and engage with. I have noticed that meeting engagement has significantly increased since using Miro to visually explain my workflow proposals.

Pros

  • Designing workflows
  • Adding comments or questions to workflows
  • Making workflows visually compelling

Cons

  • Pinning frequently used items
  • Finding all of the shapes I want to use
  • Adjusting text so it fits within the confines of the visual elements
  • Reduced time to design a workflow by 80%
  • Increased engagement when presenting
It's very intuitive. Doesn't take a long time to learn how to use the tool and the majority of the things you would want to use it for are discoverable by just clicking around the platform vs. needed to use a online tutorial to figure out key functionality. There are a few things which could be displayed in a more intuitive format in the future.
While I have used Miro in small group settings or Loom vides to present workflows, I still usually take a screenshot of Miro and embed it into a presentation.
It has reduced the amount of time I spend in Google Slides trying to design unattractive workflow diagrams. I haven't fully replaced any tools by using Miro.
Google Slides is so cumbersome to use. You can't connect really use the shapes and arrows to design a true workflow diagram without a large amount of frustration when the objects don't line up. Also, the ability to add notes in Miro is much better visually than that functionality in Google Slides which makes it easier to collaborate on the information contained in the notes.

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is a great tool when using it to take something that is technical and/or process focused, breaking it down into an easily understood visual layout. This lends to visually representing processes that are sequential in nature, processes involving multiple teams, etc.

Miro isn't a great tool for explaining things which aren't sequential or process-focused. For example, trying to use Miro to explain feelings or sentiments towards a situation.
