It was used within one department - Development & Marketing. It helps us keep track of project deadlines, drafts and reviews, and other project management aspects. It makes it very easy for me to assign tasks to my teams, and for us to review our work at the end of the year in strategic planning meetings.

  • Learning curve - it can take some time for people to get used to using it.
  • It takes time to set it up for your specific needs. They have great templates to use that helps with this.
  • To really maximize your use of this product, you should have someone dedicated (at least part time) to set it up (automations and other features).
It is very user friendly, but it can take time to set up. The templates, youtube videos, and regularly offered webinars are wonderful! It just takes time to figure out the unique needs of your organization and set up the software with the correct features to make it work for you. The templates were great for us, but we still needed to tweak them. We also needed to have full employee participation because sometimes we had to collaborate with others who were in our organization but were not on our monday.com account. If you're going to need to collaborate with colleagues outside of your department, consider implementing monday.com for everyone.
I never needed to use customer support. The monday.com webinars, youtube instructional videos, help/support articles, and regular email newsletters make it easy to access all of the information you need on your own. It just takes time to read and learn the software, and read and learn from other's experiences with it.
The monday.com features work as designed beautifully! Again, once it's set up properly for your organization's or department's specific needs, and integrated with other software you might use for other needs, this is the perfect solution. We especially loved the mobile app - I personally used it as my daily to-do list, but i loved that it did so much more. If someone else needed me to do something, they could just add it to my list from theirs. We also used this at the end of the year to see all that we accomplished and plan for the upcoming year.

I would highly recommend it if there was a need for a project management software with a team collaboration component. It's not appropriate for a to-do list need because it's much more advanced than that. I would recommend spending significant time learning all of the features of monday.com and taking the time to set it up properly. Training for first time users is essential. It's easy to learn, but there should be time dedicated to that.
