Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
- Transparency - As an in house development team Monday lets us track the real costs of the projects we work on, giving us data to support our existence. This transparency goes both up and down the org chart letting the CIO know what's happening in the org, and the developer know what others are doing and what's coming next.
- Project Planning - having projects planned at the high level out 18 months and at the detailed level out six months gives us a runway of work that is easy to work and report on.
We use Monday.com across our department and selectively include other company stakeholders from outside of IT. We use it for time and project management and to get insight into the real costs of applications developed as well as long-range planning.
- Very Flexible - track, manage, gather and report on all types of data and include automations and integrations to improve workflows.
- Great Mobile & Web experiences - Intuitive UI on both web and mobile, and easy to manage notifications.
- Great for both managers and doers - Monday balances ease of use with good reporting better than most tools I've used; which tend to focus on reporting for managers/administration and less on ease of use for those who's time is being managed.
- Lacking robust API - An API with more granular permissions would improve stickiness for teams looking to improve their project development lifecycles.
- Steep learning Curve - With great flexibility comes great configuration. Once it's up and running it's magical and worth it, but it takes time and patience to get there.
Uptime has been fantastic. We have seen a few issues with processing complicated (or bulk) automations all at once. This may be due to the computer of the user who's triggered the automation but never-the-less it still reflects on the tool.
We've also seen some minor bugs on the release of new features, but appreciate them being prone to action rather than stuck in analysis paralysis.
