Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • This has cut down on employee email communication filling our inbox and centralized it.
  • Easier to view and measure team goals/ wins/failures at a glance.
  • Brings together various sub groups within our team and opened up communication across positions.
The whole organization utilizes monday.com to organize projects of various kinds including: monthly media publications, technology needs, sales, and budgeting aspects.
  • Provides multiple options for visual organizational styles.
  • Let’s communication stay in one platform to streamline and reduce emails.
  • Prompt customer service when an issue arose for me.
  • My limited use of the product makes it hard to specify since I’m not creating these boards but mostly being assigned work on them. So far, it’s got everything I need to do my job well. I’d need to watch more tutorials and spend more hours playing around to have more examples.
  • I wish I could adjust the view of some boards for just my preference with it not adjusting the view (widening or shrinking the columns of items) of everyone on the board but that is very minor.
I experienced some frustrations when I first began using monday.com on how I could see things that were assigned only to me from multiple boards and put in one spot. I hesitate to say this because it could be a simple learning curve item that needed more time to get familiar with or just an overly complicated process but I have found it easier to abandon that idea and go about my assignments differently to make sure I don’t miss anything. Another user might find there mind works better figuring out these things and have zero issues. It’s important to note that I also did not want to invest a lot of time that might be required to find a solution and my situation and needs are different than other coworkers. I learn best by being visually shown how things work.
Really great customer support, however, my only frustration was that I would keep getting assigned different people to work with depending on the time of day and day of the week so it seemed liked I would be explaining myself again or not being sure how much the next person already knew. I would much have preferred staying with 1-2 people each time from start until finish of the issue. That being said, I also understand how a company operates and people rotate and have different shifts so that gives me more access to prompt feedback and communication when it’s shared like that vs waiting until someone is “back” in the office. Maybe an unrealistic preference on my end but a very slight frustration.
I haven’t had any personal experiences where features were not working but also work less intensely and often with it compared with others. However, I have NOT heard Coworkers complain about issues affecting our daily workflow. So far so good.

Yes

It’s multifaceted functionality for organizing is a benefit to almost any company or organization but I could see where some organizations, like my church for example, it might be less appropriate. Each staff member works more independently in their role on projects so it might be a big investment that might not outweigh the benefits for that particular team. However, I’m sure if they embraced it, the value to cost ratio might be worth it and perhaps they’d never want to go back! I think you need to have a deep desire to want to change and learn a new system as an organization for it to be successful and well received.
