Great project and production management via desktop web browser. Mobile app still a work in progress
Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
- The ability to do invoice the projects from anywhere has been a massive time saver, without having to interrupt production staff.
- Moving from a pen and paper record keeping for orders has allowed many benefits, including searching for orders to typing in a search, rather than flicking through pages in a diary
- The customisation level means you can constantly adapt your system to current demands, rather than trying to make current demands fit into your system.
We are using it as an ordering system for our customers, production management, and stock control. It allows us to manage our workflow and also perform invoicing across multiple sites. Automations have made a large difference to our production. We mainly use the web browser version, as we find the app version much more difficult to navigate, and it doesn't allow us to do all that we need it to. It is also less reliable, as it requires a constant and stable internet connection.
Pros
- Automations. This saves a lot of time with workflow when using with a production processes
- The work boards are very highly customisable. It's daunting at first, but it's always interesting to have a play around every few months to see what new features have been added.
- Having everything available, and in real time, help see where your work is up to at any point during the day. Very helpful to when managing a production line from offsite.
Cons
- The app is nowhere near as good at the web browser version. Harder to navigate, and functionality to quite different.
- The layout is very clean, but can be hard to find what you are looking for sometimes, as there are so many options.
- Customer support is usually quite fast, but can also be confusing when you have multiple people replying to support requests. It happens nearly every time.
Funnily enough, the first "major" disruption we had was earlier today, which only lasted about 30min. All of our account was unusable during that time, but the communication was great, with there being a page that showed in real time what stage they were up to with addressing the problem. A link to that page appeared when we first noticed the outage.
