Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
- I no longer come to work after a long weekend and think "Oh no, I have no idea what I'm supposed to to" - monday.com has me covered.
- It's easy to track multiple projects and keep various product managers happy.
- Saves me time and adapts to my work style.
I am the only member of my team that uses monday.com, but my job requires a lot of organization and future planning. As a UX Researcher, I work with various teams testing many different products and user assumptions within my company. Because of this, I really need to be organized and understand where my time is going so I don't overcommit myself and so that I can deliver the research needed to make business decisions on time.
- Flexibility of updates for each item - As I plan research projects or go through the discovery of a project, I end up taking a lot of notes or creating smaller to-do lists within an item. Sometimes I have links or files that are associated with an item. monday.com handles everything I could want to add with ease and dates them all, so I can see the history of the item really easily.
- Diversity of views and filters - I have a giant To-Do list with many groups of items that represent each project that I'm working on. It can be very overwhelming to go through and try to figure out what I need to do on any one day. But, monday.com allows you to create views, so I have created myself a "Focus Mode" view where it is only things that I need to be working on right now. I have also created a "For Review" view to go through with my manager each week. These views are unbelievably helpful for me to keep up with my work.
- Personalization of your items - There are many columns of info that you can add on every item to personalize your board with only the information that is needed for you. There is a lot of data that isn't relevant for me, but also the data that I do need on each item is there.
- Item Groups - Collapsing a group is a couple clicks away and it would be nice if I could get to that quickly.
- Archiving - Sometimes I have projects that get put on hold. I don't want to delete the group of items that I've created because I don't need it right now, but I don't want it to show up on my board until it's going to be useful. I have archived projects before, but having them be deep within settings under Tidy Up is confusing
- Done Tasks - I have created my own board of Done tasks complete with automation so instead of checking something off my main board, I instead move it to a different board of Done tasks. I created this because the notes on my items and the actual items that I've done are very important for things like future projects and for my annual review. It would be nice to have something automatically do that for me rather than me setting it up myself.
monday.com does everything that I absolutely need it to do. I have no complaints. I'm not sure where I would be or how I would get all my work done without monday.com there to organize all my stuff.
