Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

I work on the graphic design team and am in charge of designing email flyers. Deadlines are constantly changing, sometimes down to the hour so Monday helps keep me updated on the latest deadline and project requirements. One of my managers typically posts an update to the job if something changes and I get notified from the Monday desktop application.

Pros

  • Allows me to set custom statuses for jobs
  • Helps me see at a glance what is due this week
  • Is optimized for mobile

Cons

  • Ability to set a custom icon for each board, to help distinguish them
  • Set the default board that opens when visiting Monday site or app
  • Sometimes the horizontal scrollbar disappears which can be frustrating. To get it to reappear, i have to scroll vertically to the bottom
  • Monday was quickly adopted by our marketing department and saves a lot of time for us
  • Monday has improved communication between me and my managers
It is clear that Monday was designed to be user-friendly and easy to learn. It is packed with features and can be customized to meet needs. It has so many features that we haven't yet taken advantage of or explored all of them. Soon we will be integrating Monday with Outlook which I am excited for.
I haven't had to contact customer support yet! Everything works as intended and was pretty self explanatory. Although I consider myself tech-literate, I have yet to hear of anyone in my department needing help using the product.
I haven't experienced any downtime yet - it is very reliable. Occasionally it can take awhile to load but that hasn't happened in a long time. It could have been a product update that improved this or it could have been our network being slow.

At our company, Monday is well suited for planning email marketing, sms and social media. I believe it is also used to plan sponsorships.

The print designers on my team don't seem to use or care for the product. I think this comes down to the difference in deadlines for them. Print flyers at our company are worked on a month in advance, whereas emails are done a few days to a week in advance. We don't currently have a dedicated board set up for those types of jobs, but maybe if we did they would start using it.
