Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

Our People Team is the only team that uses monday.com at our organization. We use this platform to track our quarterly projects on a broad scope as well as make project plans on a smaller scope that dive into more details. Our recruiters also use the platform to track candidates as they move through the pipeline.

Pros

  • Lots of customization.
  • Different viewing options to assess timeline and project needs.
  • Ability to drag and drop is very helpful for moving through phases of a project.

Cons

  • I don't love the date timeline - it always gets left blank on our teams' work.
  • I would love to be able to drag something across to a different board.
  • I would love to be able to link to another page (or project) in monday.com and have the click to the link redirect me there, not open another webpage.

  • Great for resource management. Saves time digging for contact info.

I feel like I would have no idea what to do if my manager hadn't set up our board for our team. She really took the time to dive into what templates were available and organize in a way that would be useful for us. However, nobody uses monday.com for anything other than what she created and I think it's because there are so many options the customization becomes confusing.
I didn't know that this was even a feature. I've never seen any chat bubble in the bottom right corner or anything of the sort letting me know this was available. SO, I've never used it.
I've never experienced any issues in terms of application performance. I do think there was one time where the webpage was down, but I think that it was up and running within the day. It has felt like a seamless user case as I've never needed to reach out to their support. Maybe that's why I didn't know the support service was as active as it was!
I would say this is one of my least favorite applications. I don't find it super user friendly due to the extreme amounts of customization. It feels like my information is in there somewhere, but I can never find it easily. I think that it looks a lot prettier than Asana which makes me want to use it more and is probably why my manager pushed for us to purchase it on top of Asana.

No

I think monday.com is great when everyone is using it. However, if someone doesn't udpate their work it is essentially useless. I wish comments and notes and updates weren't in so many different areas and I wish the calendar view was a bit easier to use. Overall, I think monday.com could work well for some people but they'd really have to be interested in exploring all that it can do. Not ideal for someone looking to jump in and start right away.
