Overall Satisfaction with Moodle
The entire organization uses Moodle. Moodle is one of the best open-source education-based LMS applications. Moodle supports meeting both education and corporate clients' learning requirements. The best features of Moodle are open-source, Cohort, extensive customization, and the course administration features. It addresses the business problems of the organization like no-licensing cost, can accommodate a large number of concurrent users, create all types of training, ready-to-use plugins, more than 12 types of question types, social collaboration features, etc.
Pros
- Course administration - we can create many course types within Moodle including ILT.
- Cohorts Management - particularly works well for the education industry for batch promotions.
Cons
- No default advanced reporting features.
- Open source, so need to get approval on security aspects from Compliance team.
- Reduced investment - no license cost, only the implementation cost.
- Advanced courses and assessments administration.
Moodle is well-suited for all types of industries, including Education, Retail, Manufacturing, Insurance, Media, etc. It offers a wide range of Learning features, including Social & Micro-Learning, Web-based & Instructor-Led training. Cohorts Management, Assessment Management - accommodates more than 12 types of question types, advanced features plug-ins such as Analytics and Reporting, Social Collaboration, Community Management, responsive themes integration, mobile learning, etc. Since this is an open-source application, it takes the cost advantage, and the client has to invest only for implementation and maintenance. Hence Moodle is preferred than any other good corporate LMS application.
