Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint / SQL
We use MS SharePoint / SQL in our IT department. It’s a good collaborative and project management tool. It also allows us collect, share and generate meaningful reports in our company. MS SharePoint / SQL being cloud hosted it allows access from anywhere, internally and externally. It's also easily customizable and easy to use. If you are talking about third-party integration it still scores some good points.
- File version. This helps users stay informed of file version they are using and what changes have been done.
- SharePoint is a great document management solution. Allows you publish and share information within an organization.
- Collaborative capabilities. This maximizes the organization’s productivity.
- The price is high. It could be a good thing if they ever consider bringing its cost slightly down.
- Integration. Sometime integrating other applications and customization can be difficult especially after every update
I honestly was not there when they started using MS SharePoint. I joined the company when they were still using in it. Some reasons they cite being that it was effective for them and that they did not chose Google products because they have tendency of abandoning or changing terms and their approach to a solution.
