Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP
Netsuite is the ERP for one of our business units. I mostly just approve transactions and bills in it and take reports and saved searches out. The company uses it for the full accounting cycle, AP, Inventory, fixed assets, it is integrated with a number of our related systems, so generally the APIs available are very helpful with integrating with other tools and platforms.
- User interface is intuitive, can get started using it with no training fairly easily.
- Canned reporting is good out of the box and easily customizable
- Attaching documents is mostly simple and easy to associate with records
- In my experience, when you get beyond the simple reporting it’s fairly cumbersome, too many fields with the same name.
- When you get beyond simple steps you run into needing professional development quickly.
- I think roles and workflow are needlessly complex and unintuitive
- Pricing, since they’re owned by Oracle Larry needs a new yacht and they’ll gouge you once you’re sucked in and stuck
- Overall negative due to pricing actions, but we’re stuck on an overly expensive system that in our use case requires ongoing development and support. It’s our most expensive ERP by orders of magnitude
- Sage X3 & 300 eCommerce Integration
I inherited Netsuite from an acquisition. I’m before the insane price increases I would have rated Netsuite as the highest but from a cost benefit standpoint (and they just double prices on a whim no underlying business reason) it fails.
