Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

We use NetSuite to do all of our accounting and Financial tasks. MTU sells Engineering hours to its customers, and Netsuite captures the time employees spend on Projects and collects their time in time sheets. Those hours are then the base for our invoicing to the customers. We utilize workflows and purchase orders for purchases. I also use the built-in amortization schedules for month-end close. The system helped us to move on from Excel spreadsheets, and we had all the data in one place.
  • Creating Financial Reports like Income Statements and Balance Sheets.
  • Memorized Transactions for automating tasks.
  • AR invoicing.
  • Training on how to use the system.
  • Finding the right fields in saved searches.
  • Updating Fixed Asset records after creating them.
  • It reduced the time for month-end close from 4 days down to 2.
  • Creating financial reports is now done in half the time compared to before.
  • Our AP/AR clerk saved 50% of their time over the previous solution.
NetSuite is very user-friendly and, in general, a more affordable solution compared to its competitors. I like the fact that you can add on apps designed for your needs without having to purchase the entire solution.

It comes with the essential functions right out of the box and is pretty easy to use. There is a roll-based access system included, which makes access control to data easy. Memorized transactions save time. The ability to download data in Microsoft Excel from almost anywhere is much appreciated, and saving searches gives you answers to almost everything you want to know.
The account rep changes quite often, which requires restarting. Suite Answers is a very good tool but can be hard to use for somebody who is not fully confident with Netsuite. Asking questions that are not already answered in Suite Answers can be rough. Training is readily available, but most of the time stays on the surface and doesn't answer medium to more advanced questions.
NetSuite has a very user-friendly interface and it in general easy to use compared to other ERP systems like SAP. I love the fact that Journal Entries in an open period can be edited. NS can be customized to fit your company's needs but finding the right answers can be cumbersome. I find a lot of my answers on Google or YouTube.
