Use Cases and Deployment Scope

NinjaRMM is our Remote Monitoring and Management software that is installed on all of the assets that we cover as a Managed Service Provider. It allows us to remote in, install programs, run scripts, etc. We use it all day, every day. This is our 3rd RMM and I don't see us ever moving away from it.

Pros and Cons

Remote monitoring of all assets.
Scripting.
Setting up remote access to devices.

UI can be confusing.
Remote connections don't always work the first time.
Layout of clickable icons can be cumbersome.

Return on Investment

Partly because of Ninja we have grown 100% year over year.
Remote user setup is key in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It costs less that comparable solutions.

Alternatives Considered

Atera

Atera uses a pay by technician model but can't do half as much as Ninja. We still employ one Atera user to monitor some of our old clients that don't pay for monitoring. The UI of Atera is also amazing. Other RMMs could learn from them. We will stick with Ninja for the foreseeable future.

Support Rating

They respond within an hour always and the Dojo community is very busy. You can usually find your answer there first before creating a support ticket.

Ninja Remote Monitoring and Management is well suited for Manged Service Providers needing to cover between 10 and 5000 endpoints. They have many API integrations with other software as well to make your life easier. I would say it's less appropriate for companies over 5000 endpoints or as they would need a more robust solution.
