Nintex Document Generation for Salesforce
Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Platform
Nintex Document Generation allowed us to merge contact information into letters with only a few clicks. This was a great tool when preparing donor thank you letters and tax receipts. We didn't have to worry about typos due to manual manipulation because we knew our template was correct and the contact information in Salesforce was correct which saved us a lot of time and stress.
- Ability to use multiple templates and attachments with ease
- Automatically can save new documents as word doc or pdf or both
- Tons of merge tags let you incorporate almost any data automatically into your new documents
- Setting up a new document generator can be a little clunky
- Steep learning curve
- All of the options/customizations/capabilities can be a little overwhelming
- Nintex Doc Generation has allowed us to save time when processing thank you letters / gift receipts
- Cuts down on the number of typos due to manual manipulation in Microsoft word
- Saves time by being able to auto save as a pdf that is ready to email
We used Nintex Platform in our development/fundraising department. I think it would also be valuable for any sales department as well.
All of the staff using Nintex are non-IT staff. I'm sure that is part of the reason why we have found setting up new document generators cumbersome and there has been a steep learning curve. That being said, we were able to figure it out and make it work for us. So other nonprofit organizations should not be deterred by not having a dedicated IT staff to manage the platform, although that would certainly make it easier.
We needed a document generator that would work with Salesforce. Nintex was one of the least expensive options especially given our small nonprofit staff. We also looked at Conga which seemed like it may be a little more user-friendly based on the demos (**I have not actually used Conga in the real world though so who knows) but it was too expensive to justify at the time.
