Excellent tool for writing standard operating procedures
Overall Satisfaction with Notion
We use Notion to write all of our standard operating procedures for our agency. We have different areas for each department documenting the processes for each service and product type. This is a company wide endeavour that the whole team uses to support their roles, both in onboarding and staying up to speed.
Pros
- Flexibility
- Free-form content entry
- Ability to nest and store information
- Digital brain
Cons
- As a project management tool it's not so good
- Notifications aren't prominent
- Too flexible to be used for some more high power use, such as as a CMS
- Positive impact on team wide training
- Has made onboarding new team more seamless and less time consuming
- Supported company wide knowledge
- Helped us positively impact our marketing schedule
Notion provides the most organisation by way of being a "digital brain". The other softwares (i.e. OneNote, Google Drive, Milanote) aren't as robust in the organisation of these documents and the levels of managing files and pages. Notion feels like a communal digital notebook which we love and is exactly what we need to allow us to create SOPs
