Overall Satisfaction with Odoo
We use Odoo for the entirety of our backend workflows. Engineering, Sales, Production, Inventory, and shipping are all handled in Odoo's different modules to ensure a centralized data center of truth. The only area we do not use is marketing/ email management. This is an area we are currently working on building out now that we have built out the majority of the applications.
I personally work in sales and primarily work within the Sales and CRM modules to track new leads and convert to sales and close. Occasional use of inventory to check on stock levels or shipping needs.

Pros
- The activity function is very effective in ensuring that work is effectively handed off between the different departments or as simple reminders.
- Overall application design is easy to follow and understand.
- invoicing and sales order system work well for our needs. except in the case of making some edits like removing an item from the sales order lines.
Cons
- I would like to see easier to configure email templates that do not require a coding background to edit / manipulate.
- The Email to CRM pipeline often has issues pulling from our shared gmail inbox. I like how emails show on sales order or invoice history
- We struggle alot with duplicate customer profiles and find that it is hard to keep a company profile organized when there are multiple private emails associated with that company.
- We have been able to close out subscriptions from several seperate platforms and consolidate many of our needs and workflows into Odoo. is: Sales team was able to leave behind Zoho CRM, Asana task managment, and a plug in for shared inbox.
- There is increased visibility on the company wide proceses from product design to order fulfillment. Customer history is centralized for all employees to see and take note of.
- negative: Our implementation period took 2.5x times longer than anticipated There was a lot of trouble shooting and back and forth with our contracted implementer Bista.
Compared to Zoho, I think Odoo lacks some clear ease of use that Zoho provides out of the box. Mainly the easy importation of leads and conversion / tracking. Additionally Zoho analytics is easier to customize the dashboard from the menus. After some tinkering I think you can get the same thing with Odoo, it's language and logic just take some geting used to.
Airtable provides similarly easy to customize dashboards that are aesthetically appealing. but lacks the ability to track the customer journey as effectively as Odoo or Zoho systems.
