Overall Satisfaction with Okta
We leverage Okta as our primary identity provider (IDP) to manage secure authentication and authorization across all our applications. In addition to serving as our single sign-on (SSO) solution, Okta also plays a central role in streamlining workforce processes by acting as a workflow automation platform. This includes automating key aspects of employee lifecycle management, such as onboarding new hires and offboarding departing employees, as well as automating ticketing and notifications for our helpdesk staff.

Cons
- The interface is complex but powerful
- The platform has tons of features so it can be complicated to learn
- Many good to have features are not part of the product and have to be gained from "Rockstar" browser plugin.
- Every week, Okta saves our small helpdesk team tons of hours of work in onboarding and offboarding of users and general permissions management.
- Complex API Integrations are possible across all sorts of things, the possibilities are truly endless with how it can be tied into various other services and apps. This is allowed for us to come up with some very cool and creative solutions that otherwise would have required additional services or platforms.
- Okta has greatly reduced user frustration as the login/logoff process for everything in our environment just WORKS now, consistently.
Okta has provided us a single pane of glass for our Identity and permissions management. The power of the rules, groups, and workflows in Okta cannot be overstated. The options are endless and the results are simply impressive. Our users are happier, our technical staff are happier, it's just the best platform.
Okta support and contracted services are top notch, we have had to work with them a number of times to get assistance with process and workflow design and in every case they have been beyond helpful, knowledgeable and professional.
It just works. I can't remember the last time (if ever) that its been down in the 3 years we have been customers.
Okta is worlds better than any other IDP Solution that I have come across.
Their documentation on integrations is STELLAR, their support staff is knowledgeable and awesome, their service is reliable and just works.

Their contracted business services for workflow design and implementation was fantastic. We had some automations we needed and they worked hand in hand with us for 2 weeks to design the perfect solution and to help us understand how everything was working so that we could expand it further in the future and to troubleshoot it and maintain it ourselves. This experience was fantastic!
