Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ON24 to host webinars for business prospecting across our product portfolio and client training. Webinars are a key driver for new prospects for us.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Registration pages are easy to build and look clean
Console (audience view) offers many tools to use for presentations and to engage the audience
Reporting and analytics are robust and provide detailed reports that help us process attendees in our marketing database
Support team and responsive and helpful

Cons

UI is limited and it can be hard to find the button you are looking for
Without proper training, the studio view for presenters can be confusing
Technical integrations are more complicated to implement than previous webinar tools used in the past

Return on Investment

Unfortunately we only recently adopted ON24 so these are early observations and we are yet to pull hard numbers but we have seen a noticeable increase in registrants and participants
Our guest presenters have an easier time joining and using the tool
Far easier to use and setup webinars from a digital admin side

Use Cases for Analytics Insights

We use the audience engagement report to determine which registrants attended and engaged in the webinar to appropriately score them in our CRM and assign them to the correct type of follow up. We also use the registration source information to inform our future marketing campaigns for webinars. The other audience engagement reports including a full audience dashboard, Q&A reports, poll reports, and more, are exported in an easily digestible format.

Innovation

We have made quick improvements to our current webinar program through adopting ON24 and the arsenal of new tools and features compared to our previous tool has allowed us to look into expanding our webinar offerings and trying out new ways of engagement for our prospects and customers. One feature we would like to try out in the future and the impressive breakout rooms available in this tool.

Scalability

After using this tool for a few months it does feel like a one size fits all tool. The basic nature and the tool itself allows you to create webinars with your vision in mind instead of the adapting to the features given out of the box.

Alternatives Considered

GoTo Webinar, Webex Webinars, Zoom Events & Webinars and Microsoft Teams

We selected ON24 due to organizational alignment and tool consolidation but I am more than happy with the decision to move over to this tool. It has been by far the easiest and least frustrating webinar tool I have used in 5+ years of digital marketing. It allows me to bring the product marketers asks closer to reality.

ON24 has upgraded our webinar game! We used to use Go-To Webinar, which can't even add text formatting to the webinar description, so we are thrilled to use all of the customization options to align our webinar closer with our brand. We have seen an increase in registrations and participants due to this more professionally packaged webinar offering.
