Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

My VP purchased this in his former company and as soon as he took the role at our company, he had to have it again, because it was such a success with usability and the implementation in that previous experience. Little things like uploading contacts into Salesforce could be imporved, but it's pretty great.
Outreach is being used by our organization in prospecting for new business as well as to work with current customers and get them to events or do more regular follow ups that would be very hard to find time for without this great tool for customized automation. It enables me to put together as many different types of templated conversations, set someone in them and forget, until the next follow up is due for them. So they never actually get forgotten, but my mind is free to get out and do a whole lot more good.

Pros

  • Easy to import into Outreach
  • Easy to build out sequences to use for repeated outreach
  • Easy to set tasks with individuals, very customized

Cons

  • When you import new contacts into Outreach, it would be nice if it allowed you to easily upload these into Salesforce, which it says it can do, but I've never found it to work right
  • Would be nice if you could modify the tasks orders in a sequence even after you've put contacts into it
I will go and look over all of the templates and sequences that I've created, and loaded prospects into and look at the statistics of their response and views, how I reached them, I can A/B test different messages and see which one performs the best. The analytics on this are great. Especially company wide when you can see where your peers are having even more success and clone their messaging.

Whenever I've had an issue and reached out to Outreach support they've responded very quickly and they'll even get on a call to hash out issues if needed. They also follow up regularly to ensure what you did with them is still working.
Awesome for reaching out to 100's of people across dozens of companies all at once. Awesome for making sure that all of the warm pipeline you have that needs next steps tasks, can all be easily set and called on all within this one platform. GREAT if you are using Salesforce.
