Cutting-edge Technology for monitoring and incident control.
Overall Satisfaction with PagerDuty
What first drew me to PagerDuty was how easy it is to log tickets by logging in. There are no unnecessary drop-down menus or endless fields. The interface is clean enough that even occasional users like me can log tickets with ease.
Pros
- Clean interface for logging tickets.
- No unnecessary drop-down menus.
- Routing of tickets to correct manager.
Cons
- Knowledge base integration needs a little workout.
- Firstly, it has to be logging of tickets.
- Secondly, it is the time sensitivity with which tickets are resolved.
- Thirdly, round the clock monitoring.
- Well, definitely the impact has been positive as compared to the previous manual system that we had.
A reassuring aspect of PagerDuty is that there are no scheduled downtimes, which could have forced us to look away from the systems we relied on most. Over the period, there has been no instance of PagerDuty going offline abruptly.
Webhooks and API integrations single-handedly manage inbound alerts in near-real-time, so there is rarely any noticeable delay between detection and ticket creation.
